John Shaver Releases Change in My Life Album

Southern Gospel solo artist John Shaver released his new ten-song album, Change in My Life, on 6 November 2026. The testimony-driven project carries one clear message: the grace, hope and truth found in Jesus Christ can change a life completely.
Its lead single, "Everyone Needs Grace", had already reached No. 1 on WCGB Radio and No. 48 on the REAL Southern Gospel Radio chart before the album arrived.
Ten songs. One life changed. And a singer who refuses to keep the two apart.
Shaver does not present the album as a career move. He presents it as a testimony, sung out loud, for anyone still waiting for their own change to come.
A Pastor Who Sings His Testimony
Shaver is based in Winter Garden, Florida, where he ministers through John Shaver Ministries. The ministry runs on a simple guiding purpose: sharing "Music with a Message." Alongside travelling as a solo artist, he serves as a pastor at GracePointe Winter Garden, so the songs and the sermons come from the same life.
He has served in ministry for most of his life. His passion is sharing the message of the Bible through Word and worship, combining heartfelt testimony with powerful songs for one purpose: to point people to the grace of God.
"The title Change in My Life says exactly what this album means to me," Shaver shares. "Jesus has completely changed my life, and I want every song I sing to point people toward Him."
That is the spine of the whole project. Not a sound, not a style, not a chart position. A changed life, offered as proof that change is still possible for the listener too.
Everyone Needs Grace Topped the Charts
The album's centrepiece is "Everyone Needs Grace", an original song Shaver wrote himself. It climbed to No. 1 on WCGB Radio and reached No. 48 on the REAL Southern Gospel Radio chart.
That is a rare breakthrough for an independent solo artist in a genre crowded with quartets and big-name groups. The song reflects the central message of Shaver's ministry: everyone, regardless of their story or circumstances, needs the grace of God.
No exceptions, no fine print, no one too far gone. It is the kind of line that lands differently when the person singing it has lived it.
"My prayer is that this album will encourage someone, strengthen their faith and remind them that the same Jesus who changed me can change their life too," he says.
Ten Songs, Seven Originals and Three Classics
Change in My Life was produced by Dustin Jenkins, and it holds ten tracks in all. Alongside "Everyone Needs Grace", the album features six additional original songs and three timeless Gospel classics.
The mix lets Shaver's own writing sit next to songs congregations have sung for generations. The project moves through the themes he knows best: grace, prayer, faith and the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.
The album is available for streaming and download across major digital platforms, so listeners anywhere can recieve it the moment they search for it. CDs and USB copies are also available directly from John Shaver Ministries.

Music With a Message
Shaver's desire is to reach the lost, encourage believers and lift up the name of Jesus wherever God opens the door. That is the job he has carried since he first stepped into ministry.
Southern Gospel has always been a music of testimony, built on the idea that a song can carry a witness further than a sermon alone. Shaver fits that tradition naturally, a solo voice with a story, telling people what Jesus did for him.
The album arrives in a season crowded with new gospel releases. Lilian Nneji released her first official album, Highly Favoured, after almost 30 years in gospel music, as reported in Lilian Nneji Releases Highly Favoured After 30 Years, and Kirk Franklin opened up about regrets and God's grace, as covered in Kirk Franklin Opens Up About Regrets and God's Grace. Franklin has just released his first double album, as reported in Latest: Kirk Franklin Releases First Double Album I Am What I Am With Davido, GloRilla and Jelly Roll.

JJ Hairston united worship and prayer in his new album, as reported in JJ Hairston Unites Worship and Prayer in New Album, and Todd Dulaney returned to Scripture with his latest album, as covered in Todd Dulaney Returns to Scripture With Back to the Book II.
Kevin Downswell's Joy Is Here album arrived on October 30, as reported in Kevin Downswell Joy Is Here Album Released October 30 2026, and Kentrell Ragin turned personal loss into a testimony of faith, as covered in Kentrell Ragin Turns Personal Loss Into a Testimony of Faith. Whether Change in My Life becomes Shaver's widest-reaching record is still an open question. A No. 1 single already proved the message travels.
If even one listener hears "Everyone Needs Grace" at the right moment, Shaver would call that the whole point. The next chapter of his ministry may be written by the people who hear it, not by the man who sang it.
