Songs Inspired by The Chosen Album: Phil Wickham, Lady A, Boyz II Men (2026)

Hillary Scott started watching The Chosen with her teenage daughter, and somewhere between the episodes, a song showed up. "I started watching 'The Chosen' with my teenage daughter, and we've been deeply impacted by the portrayal of Jesus, and His love and mercy for us," the Lady A singer said. Now she has written one of eleven songs on "Songs Inspired by The Chosen: Seasons 1–5" — the album turning television's biggest Jesus story into a worship record.
The album arrives October 30, 2026, as a collaboration between 5&2 Studios — the studio behind The Chosen — and Capitol Christian Music Group. Eleven tracks, each written in response to the series, blending contemporary Christian, worship, gospel, and country. The artists were not handed scripts. They were invited to respond to whatever in the show had moved them — a scene, a character, a theme — and the result is a record that sounds like what happens when a TV series preaches to musicians.
It lands just ahead of The Chosen Season 6, which premieres November 15 on Prime Video with the crucifixion story, followed by a theatrical finale on March 12, 2027. The album is the appetizer. The cross is the main course.
Songs Inspired by The Chosen Tracklist
The full eleven-song lineup reads like a who's who of Christian music: "SOS (Don't Let Me Go)" by Phil Wickham, "Roots" by Jamie MacDonald, "I Love The One" by Lady A and Boyz II Men, "My Everything" by LOST & FOUND, "All I Need Is You" by Tyler Hubbard, "Even This" by Anne Wilson, "Exile" by Stephen Stanley, "Open the Well" by Madison Ryann Ward, "Broken Me" by Blessing Offor, "Beautiful Faith" by Franni Cash, and "Follow Me" by Jac Ross.
Two singles are already out. "I Love The One" — the unlikely pairing of seven-time Grammy-winning country trio Lady A and four-time Grammy-winning R&B group Boyz II Men — was the third single. "My Everything" from LOST & FOUND followed as the fourth. Each song is, in its own way, a testimoni to what the series has done to the people who make music for the Church.
What is striking is the range. Worship anthems sit next to country confessionals and gospel harmonies. The show itself drew viewers from every corner of the Christian world — and the album answers in kind, as if to say the story of Jesus was never meant to belong to one sound.
Phil Wickham 'SOS (Don't Let Me Go)' Opens the Album
Phil Wickham — the voice behind "This Is Amazing Grace," "Living Hope," and "House of the Lord" — sets the tone with the opening track. "SOS (Don't Let Me Go)" captures what Worship Chronicle describes as "the desperation of someone longing for God's presence and holding on to Him through uncertainty."
It is a fitting opener for an album inspired by a series about desperate people meeting Jesus. The Chosen's power was never in spectacle; it was in showing the disciples as needy, broken, grasping people — the kind who would absolutely send up an SOS. Wickham has built a career on giving believers melodies for exactly that cry, and here he gets to aim it at the show that dramatized it.
Wickham's presence also signals something about where worship music is heading: the biggest names in the genre are no longer just writing for Sunday mornings. They are writing for the stories that shape how a generation pictures Jesus.
"Collaborating with Boyz II Men on this song is a 'pinch me' moment for all of us. Their voices have been in my ears my whole life, so to hear us harmonize brings tears and goosebumps." — Hillary Scott of Lady A
Lady A and Boyz II Men: 'I Love The One'
The album's most talked-about track might be its most unexpected collaboration. Lady A and Boyz II Men — country and R&B royalty — trade harmonies on "I Love The One," a song Scott says was inspired by one of her favorite Bible stories: the woman who grabs the hem of His garment and is healed.
"You are the miracle maker / You are the new life creator / That's who you've been again and again / You're such a wonderful Savior," the lyrics declare. The lyric video weaves in scenes from The Chosen depicting Jesus' miracles — the show's portrayal of healing meeting the song's declaration of it.
Scott's own telling of the song's origin is disarmingly simple: a mother, a teenage daughter, a TV show, and a Jesus who kept showing up in their living room. "Being a writer on 'I Love The One,' I was inspired by some of my favorite stories in the Bible," she said. "The woman who grabs the hem of His garment and is healed is especially poignant to me." Some of the most honest worship songs are born exactly that way — not in a writing room, but on a couch.
The Chosen Season 6 Release Date and the Album's Moment
Timing is everything, and this album's timing is deliberate. Season 6 arrives November 15 with the final 24 hours of Jesus' life — the arrest, the trial, the crucifixion — making the weeks around the album's release a season of unusual spiritual attention. Eleven songs about encountering Jesus, dropping days before six episodes about His death.
LOST & FOUND's "My Everything" hints at where the album might land hardest: "a song about approaching your relationship with God with childlike faith... a reminder to let go of control, surrender your fears, and trust the Lord completely." That is the show's thesis in a sentence — and, arguably, the Gospel's.
The real test comes after October 30, when the songs leave the marketing cycle and meet actual congregations. Will "SOS (Don't Let Me Go)" show up on a Sunday setlist? Will youth groups sing "My Everything" at camp? An album inspired by a TV show is a novelty. An album that becomes the Church's soundtrack is something else entirely — and with this lineup, that leap does not look far.
