Editorial Standards
These are the rules every Faith Stories article must follow, in every language we publish. They apply to news, testimonies, and prayers alike.
Sources and fact-checking
- Every news story is verified against at least two independent sources before publication. We name or link our sources wherever possible.
- We never invent facts, dates, names, or quotes. If something cannot be verified, we say so — or we leave it out.
- Numbers and claims are checked against the original announcement, report, or record, not against a retelling of it.
Headlines and fairness
- A headline must reflect what the story actually says. We do not use misleading headlines to win a click.
- When a story involves a dispute, we include the other side where it can be found.
- Opinion is labelled as opinion. News is news.
Independence
No advertiser, sponsor, or donor influences what we cover or how we cover it. We do not publish paid coverage as news.
Languages
Each language edition is written natively for its own readers — Spanish stories for Spanish-speaking readers, Portuguese for Brazilian readers, and so on. We do not machine-translate one article into another language.
Mistakes
When we get something wrong, we follow our Corrections Policy: fix it, and say so. Our Code of Ethics and AI Disclosure explain the rest of how we work.
